Cloudy water after using Stain RemoverUpdated a day ago
Pool has gone cloudy after using the Water TechniX Stain Remover. This is completely normal, it happens sometimes as the stain remover lowers your pH, and low pH can affect water clarity. Following the below steps, we should be able to clear your water up in a matter of days.
Firstly, test your water. Adjust your pH to 7.2–7.6, and chlorine to 1–3 ppm.
Add Buffer (alkalinity increaser) to stabilise your pH and prevent swings.
Once your water’s balanced:
If you have a sand filter: Add a flocculant, wait 24 hours, then manually vacuum to waste.
If you have a cartridge filter: Use a clarifier and clean your cartridge after the water clears.
Brush the pool and clean your filter thoroughly during and after treatment.
Run your pump continuously until the water clears, usually within a few days.
