Cartridge Filter LeaksUpdated 9 months ago
Dealing with cartridge filter leaks involves a few steps to identify and fix the issue. Here’s a guide to help you:
- Shut Off the System: Turn off the pump and filter system to ensure safety while inspecting and repairing the filter.
- Inspect the Cartridge: Remove the filter cartridge and check for any visible signs of damage, such as tears or cracks. If the cartridge is damaged, it will need to be replaced. Browse our selection of pool filter cartridges here
- Check the O-Rings: Inspect the O-ring gaskets for wear and tear. Worn-out O-rings can cause leaks. If they are damaged, replace them with new ones. Our collection of filter spare parts can be found here
- Examine the Filter Housing: Look for any cracks or damage in the filter housing. If the housing is damaged, it may need to be replaced. We recommend our Water TechniX Filters here
- Reassemble the Filter: Once you’ve inspected and replaced any damaged parts, reassemble the filter. Make sure all components are properly aligned and secured
- Test the System: Turn the pump and filter system back on and check for leaks. If the leak persists, you may need to consult a professional for further inspection and repair
Regular maintenance and inspection can help prevent leaks and extend the life of your cartridge filter. If you need more detailed guidance or have specific questions, feel free to ask!
