Short answer is yes, you can leave cleaners in the pool since they're built with materials designed to withstand pool chemicals for periods of time. 

Advanced robotic pool cleaners like the SoniX even have weekly timer modes that will allow you to set a timer, and with a full charge, leave it to clean the pool automatically for up to six days. 

That being said, just keep in mind anything in a chemically treated environment risks quicker deterioration due to the fluctuating levels of chemicals, so where possible remove from the pool if not in use!
